-Behei and the higher ranking HSU members returns to HSU’s camp area as the rest of HSU asks them about Kanki.

-Suddenly, someone from Kanki’s main camp arrived and asks for a talk with HSU. He passed on Kanki’s message to Shin that HSU will have to swap some of his men with Kanki’s. According to that new guy, he explains that the exchange is for both armies to understand each other deeper and since Kanki’s strategies changes frequently, there is a need for someone within HSU to help understand and adapt to the change.

-While Shin and co. are thinking who they should send to Kanki for the exchange, the guy from Kanki’s camp said that Bihei had already volunteered and already went over to Kanki’s camp last night.

-With that, the Qin army of 58000 sets off.

-Meanwhile in the city of Li Yan, 80km away from the battlefield of Black Goat Hill, the Zhao general, Ji Hui makes his appearance as the mayor of the city. He seems to be a nice guy and comforts his citizens who are afraid of Kanki’s brutalities. His citizens are even willing to sacrifice themselves to protect him.

-As they were talking Keisha arrives at the city. According to the citizens, Keisha is closest to securing the last seat of the 3 Great Heavens.

-Upon meeting Ji Hui, Keisha seems to understand that Ji Hui is similar to himself as they both give off the same “smell”. He then understands why Riboku wants him to join Ji Hui in the battle.

-With that, the Zhao army of 70000 sets off into battle. The war should officially start next week.

Since this chapter is late, we should see the spoilers of the next chapter pretty soon.

  1. The title of the chapter matches its generals.
    Shin – ferocious lion
    Keysha – silent spider
    Kanki – brutal deceitful jackal
Ji Hui – caring wolf (wolves always care for their pack similar to how he shows his love towards his people)
Why I take Kanki for instinctive general is simple, he does not use conventional methods and there is something repulsive about him like there is about jackals.

    • interesting analogy. Going by your analogy, Shin will fight Keisha like Duke Hyou(who was also a lion) did in the coalition war and Kanki will fight Ji Hui considering wolves and jackals are sort of cousins in the animal world.

      • Most likely so. Shin should best Keisha who almost ensnared his beloved Duke in coalition war to show us how much he has improved and it is not something he can accomplish with only brute force. On one hand we have loving ,caring , comppassionate and with many other positive traits , Ji Hui who has already captured my heart as an ideal general. On the other hand , brutal , ruthless, maniac, and with so many bad attitudes , we have our charismatic evil Kanki. I can see how this is gonna end . Although it is gonna hurt my heart to see such a good man to perish horribly, this is how fate works, good does not always triumph.

  2. When Mangoku died. Riboku said that his existence was useful in various ways. Now I understand what he meant . Presense of Kanki too will put the civils on unrest and soldiers are gonna feel pressured not to lose the war. Overall Kanki’s brutality plays a huge role in emerging victorious . And kanki in turkish slang means close friend. I hope Shin becomes his close friend or student , something like what he was to Ouki.

    • Im sure Shin will. That’s the only way for him to get some free legendary tier equipment right? Jokes aside, Im forseeing Shin learning from Kanki for the next few years at least, before he returns to Tou just before the start of the unification war.
